Tepi Bloodwood – a handmade piece from Pucallpa
Tepi Bloodwood is made in Pucallpa, Peru, and is 22 cm long. The deep red-brown wood is complemented by a handmade ornament of cipó vine with beads.
Every piece is one of a kind. In tradition, the Tepi is a tool made for sharing – a symbol of the bond between two people, respect and attention. A small beaded bracelet made by a young Shipibo woman comes with it. We offer it as an ethnobotanical collector’s item.

What makes it special

A bridge between two people
In Amazonian tradition, the Tepi is a tool that – unlike the Kuripe – is used between two people. It symbolises giving, trust and attention to the other.
These are traditional and symbolic associations, not a recommendation for use.
